
Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Chief Nawaz Sharif has said that he had rejected a package of Rs 15 billion and decided to test nuclear bombs in 1998.
Speaking at a ceremony held in connection with the Youm-e-Takbir on Monday, Nawaz Sharif said that the day Pakistan became nuclear power he had broken begging bowl.
“It was not easy to test nuclear bomb and i waited for seventeen days ,” Sharif said and added that the Pakistan’s security strengthened due to the explosions.
The PML-N chief also questioned was there anybody in the government who would bring peace in Karachi and Balochistan.
“Akhtar Mengal was accompained me to Chaghi when i decided to test nuclear bombs”.
He said those who has been claiming to resolve all the problems within 90 days are speaking lies, an obvious reference to Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan.
Sharif said the nation was wondering in search of its destination. He added some misguided people had been part of the government.
